Bio

Dr. Bennett is a pediatric orthopedic spine surgeon at CHKD. Prior to his arrival, he completed his undergraduate studies at Colby College in Maine, and then earned his medical degree through the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program through St. George's University School of Medicine and Northumbria University in Newcastle, England.

He then went on to complete a research fellowship in pediatric spinal deformity at the Shriners Hospital for Children of Philadelphia. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, and then pursued advanced training in pediatric orthopedics with a focus on pediatric spinal deformity at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, where he also served as a clinical instructor in pediatric orthopedics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Dr. Bennett has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His clinical practice specializes in the non-operative and operative treatment of complex pediatric spinal deformity and pediatric trauma.

In addition, Dr. Bennett serves on the faculty of Eastern Virginia Medical School as assistant professor of pediatrics and surgery.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and mini Australian Shepherd "Koda" camping, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, skiing, boating, and traveling.
