Personal Statement

CHKD has afforded me the opportunity to see the impact a children's hospital network can have on the lives of the individual patients as well as the community. I find the compassion, caring, and genuine dedication to the health and well-being of children to be universal at CHKD, and I could not be more proud to continue to be a part of that mission.

Bio

Originally from Miami, Dr. Horton came to Norfolk for her residency at CHKD.

She fell in love with pediatric medicine during medical school when she discovered the unique role a pediatrician can play in a child's life. She strives to provide the best care for the children and families she has the privilege of treating.

Outside of work, Dr. Horton enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their dogs. She also enjoys the beach, cooking and baking, and exercising.
