About Us
Premier Pediatrics offers experienced pediatricians and health professionals dedicated to providing your child the best possible care from birth through adulthood. Our staff consists of two board-certified pediatricians and one certified pediatric nurse practitioner.
Knowing that the foundation of any good relationship begins with communication, we value the partnership between practitioner, patient, and parent. We encourage any questions about your child’s health and development.
As part of CHKD Medical Group, we provide our families the benefit of direct access to all of CHKD’s specialists and services, providing patients with the high-quality comprehensive care they need throughout their growing years.
We look forward to getting to know you and your child and working together for the health and well-being of your family.
CHKD Medical Group Vaccine Statement
The primary care pediatricians of CHKD Medical Group believe that vaccination may be the single most important thing parents can do to protect the health of their children. All CHKD Medical Group practices share the same philosophy on immunizations, and all take steps to minimize the risk unvaccinated and under-vaccinated children present to infants, young children who have not yet completed their vaccinations, and those with weakened immune systems. We are aware that rumors circulate concerning which CHKD practices are more lenient about immunizations, but these rumors are not true. Our practices share a unified belief that children should be fully vaccinated according to the schedule developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and that we have an ethical responsibility to create the safest possible environment for care.
Our Services
We recognize and respect the value of your time, so all patients are seen by appointment. To help us make sure you see the provider of your choice, try to schedule routine appointments at least four weeks in advance. If you need to change an appointment, please let us know right away, so others won’t be inconvenienced. Missed appointments may be subject to a service charge unless cancelled 24 hours in advance.
Routine checkups are an important part of keeping your child healthy. By maintaining a regular checkup schedule, you can help prevent illness, detect hidden problems and monitor your child’s growth and development. We would like to see your child every year for a checkup. Please know, however, many insurance companies do not cover this type of care after age five, so please check with your family’s insurer.
If your child is sick and needs to see a doctor, we encourage you to call us early in the day. Our staff will help you evaluate your child’s condition to determine if a sick or urgent visit is needed, and then schedule you promptly. When appropriate, we will provide advice about home care for your child.
If your child becomes sick after regular office hours. When you need advice or think you need to see a physician when our office is closed, call our office number. Our answering service will make sure your call is returned as soon as possible.
If your child is seriously injured, appears to have a medical emergency or experiences a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately. In case of poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222. If you feel your child is sick enough to take to an emergency room or urgent care center, please contact us first. Be sure you understand your insurer’s requirements to avoid denial of benefit claims after the visit.
Prescription refills should be requested during office hours only. Please allow us 72 hours for prescription refills to be completed. For your convenience, prescription refills can be also be made online.
