CHKD is committed to providing high quality continuing education for pediatric providers and specialists. As the primary pediatric teaching affiliate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, our attending physicians are on the clinical frontier of effectively understanding and treating many pediatric diseases and disorders.

EVMS Pediatric Residency Program at CHKD

The EVMS Pediatric Residency Program at CHKD has proudly trained excellent pediatricians since 1962, boasting devoted faculty, a diverse community/patient population, and an inclusive environment.

Pediatric Psychology

Pediatric Psychology Fellowship Training Program

The primary goal of the CHKD postdoctoral fellowship program in pediatric psychology is to help fellows develop the clinical skills necessary to obtain a position in a pediatric healthcare setting or university-based training program.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology

The CHKD Child Advocacy Center Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology trains emerging professionals to be expert psychologists and advocates in the field of childhood trauma and resilience.

Sports Medicine

Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program

CHKD sports physical therapy residency program is a 12-month program designed to develop outstanding clinicians by providing expert level care to the pediatric and adolescent sports population of Hampton Roads.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy Residency

CHKD offers a one-year ASHP-accredited postgraduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency program. CHKD also offers the opportunity for one of the PGY1 residents to stay on to complete a one-year postgraduate year two (PGY2) pediatric pharmacy residency with an emphasis on pediatric critical care medicine.
