Personal Statement

CHKD provides the foundation for our team to offer integrated behavioral health services to achieve our goal of treating the whole child. I am grateful to CHKD as we truly are more than just a hospital.

Bio

Osler has cared for children and their families in various clinical settings for over 20 years. She has been at CHKD since 2003, first as a licensed clinical social worker in the emergency department and then as program manager of the social work department.

In August of 2014, she was promoted to director and currently serves as the director of the CHKD Mental Health service line.

She has extensive training in leadership, program management, family systems, crisis intervention, trauma, suicide risk assessment, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She provides strategic program development for the CHKD mental health service line, operations oversight, and vision for our mental health program expansion.

Having the experience of providing direct services to children and their families over the past two decades, Osler has a solid understanding of current systems of care and need for additional services to focus on treating the whole child.

Refer to Our Mental Health Program

CHKD is working hard to build a Mental Health Program with care access opportunities for all children in need. We currently have a high volume of requests and partner with mental health agencies outside of CHKD to ensure all children referred receive an appropriate treatment resource. Find inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization referral information here.

Concerned About Your Child's Mental Health?

If you are concerned about your child's mental health, the best place to start is with your child's primary care pediatrician. Many of CHKD's pediatricians have completed advanced training in the management of disorders such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety.
