Bio
Sarah Williamson, MD, is a urologist at CHKD. She grew up outside of Washington, D.C., and attended Kenyon College in Ohio, where she graduated with honors in molecular biology.
She then worked as a research assistant at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Williamson attended medical school at Emory University and completed urology residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.
While in residency, Sarah won awards for excellence in teaching from medical students rotating on urology and was voted best resident teacher by her faculty. After residency, Sarah completed a pediatric urology fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Orange County in California.
Dr. Williamson has a passion for research and teaching. She has published over 20 peer reviewed articles (under her maiden name, Sarah Holzman) and is one of the key members of the Societies for Pediatric Urology hydronephrosis task force.
Dr. Williamson lives in Suffolk with her husband and son. Dr. Williamson is a military spouse and is proud to work with our Hampton Roads community.
