Personal Statement

CHKD is the only pediatric hospital in Hampton Roads. I have trusted CHKD with the care of my own children and I am excited to now be part of CHKD as a provider.

Bio

Sangita grew up in a small remote town of Nepal and has always wanted to help underprivileged communities gain better access to healthcare. She completed earned her bachelor's degree from Curry College and her master's degrees from South University in Virginia Beach.

Prior to joining CHKD, Sangita worked as a registered nurse at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News in the mother and baby unit. She later transitioned to the NICU in 2015. In addition, Sangita has years of experience working in the pediatric unit at a transitional care hospital. While she has worked in adult healthcare facilities, most of her nursing career has been working with children.

Sangita has been a resident of Hampton Roads since 2010 and lives in Yorktown with her husband and two kids. During her free time she likes to garden, spend time with family, and travel to different places.
