Bio

Ruck utilizes short-term brief cognitive behavioral therapy, family-based therapies, and mindfulness approaches in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer. She earned her master's degree in social work and completed her clinical training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, working with patients diagnosed with cancer. She has training from Mount Ida College in the study of death and dying and has co-facilitated the Beams of Hope bereavement support group at CHKD for many years.

Rebecca is originally from New Jersey, loves to cook and go to the beach. When not working, she spends time with her husband, two children, and Goldendoodle, Gouda.
