Bio

Rachel Nicely is a genetic counselor who works with families and individuals to provide information and support for those who have or are at risk for genetic disorders.

She reviews personal and family medical history, facilitates genetic testing, and helps interpret the results to help families through all steps of the diagnostic process.

Her interest in genetic counseling began more than a decade ago and was inspired by educational, volunteer, and personal experiences within the field of medical genetics.

Genetic counseling allows her to combine her passions for medical genetics and working with children and families.

She is originally from Woodbridge, Virginia, and is excited to be providing care to families in her home state. She enjoys painting, live music, spending time with loved ones, and making frequent trips to the beach.
