I am committed to providing quality care while promoting a fun work environment that makes the patient feel at ease. I strive to ensure my patients know how much I truly care for them.

Bio

Leisten has been a nurse at CHKD for 20 years, beginning as a staff nurse on 8C. After a stint as a traveling nurse, she worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for CHKD's surgical department for six years and has been with the gastroenterology department since 2012.

She sees gastrointestinal outpatients with a variety of conditions, from patients from gastroesophageal reflux disease to short gut.

Our physicians are trained in the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disease, and all have experience caring for liver and small bowel transplantation patients. We treat children from birth through 22 years of age.
