I love working within a child advocacy center and seeing the resilience and strength in the children and families that come through our center.
Bio
Kristina Golden, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist who specializes in treating traumatic stress in children and adolescents. She provides direct service to youth using evidence-based treatments. She also supervises and trains department mental health staff.
Before joining CHKD, Dr. Golden worked within a university-based private school as well as a private mental health practice providing therapy and assessment services. She currently serves as the Child Advocacy Center's mental health program manager.
Dr. Golden grew up in Connecticut and Florida, and came to Virginia for graduate school. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and three young girls.
