Bio

A native of Philadelphia, Hawkins relocated to Hampton Roads with her husband in 2008. She began her career in nursing at CHKD in 2010 in the pediatric intensive care unit, where she witnessed the resilience of children as they faced the greatest of obstacles.

Her love of pediatric medicine has grown over the years, leading her to pursue a master's in nursing. When the opportunity arose to return to CHKD as a pediatric nurse practitioner, Hawkins did not hesitate, joining the pediatric surgery and trauma teams in 2019.

Hawkins resides in Chesapeake with her husband and two daughters.
