Kids are amazingly resilient. I love being part of their medical journey and making it the best experience possible.

Bio

Carter grew up in New Jersey and made her way down south for warmer weather and an undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Carter found her passion in pediatric nursing and working with critically ill children in the ICU. Carter went on to become a dual certified nurse practitioner in both pediatric primary and acute care after completing a graduate program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She previously worked with dialysis and kidney transplant patients, but is excited to shift her focus to acute surgical patients.

Carter currently lives in Chesapeake with her husband and two dogs who are spoiled rotten.
