Personal Statement

Having the opportunity to build lasting relationships with children and their families is what makes pediatrics so rewarding for me. It is a privilege to be that source of support for our CHKD families.

Bio

Hinderland, a native of Rochester, NY and a Navy spouse, moved to Hampton Roads in 2017. She fell in love with the pediatric population in nursing school and went on to spend 5 years as a pediatric nurse.

For the past 3 years, Hinderland worked as an inpatient pediatric Hematology/Oncology nurse at CHKD while obtaining her master’s degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner at ODU. She joined Chesapeake Pediatrics in 2020.

Hinderland and her husband enjoy spending time hiking, traveling, and going to the beach with their dog, Murphy.
