Bio
Dr. Mendoza, a hospitalist at CHKD, is originally from Zimbabwe where she first developed a passion for pediatrics and global health.
She moved to the United States to attend Messiah University in Pennsylvania and then attended medical school at Penn State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Mendoza completed a pediatric residency and then a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Emory University where she began her career.
Dr. Mendoza then moved to the University of Virginia where she served as a pediatric hospitalist, medical director, medical student coach, and quality improvement and global health faculty leader.
At CHKD/EVMS Dr. Mendoza will be leading QI Education, and contributing to the missions of education, clinical care, and research at CHKD.
Dr. Mendoza and her husband, also a physician, moved to CHKD because they were impressed by the dedication to all aspects of children's health and well-being, and the care of staff, faculty, and students.
