Personal Statement

Healthy You has demonstrated 'the team' is key to success and I am proud to be welcomed as a new member. I embrace this opportunity with eagerness, humility and passion to uphold the mission and vision CHKD has established for the children of our community to live healthier lives.

Bio

Anderson calls it "a privilege to join Healthy You for Life and continue serving children and their families at CHKD. I have been fortunate to work with children with acute and chronic illness at CHKD for over 20 years."

She came to CHKD in 1992 to help children facing end-stage organ failure along their journey of transplantation. Prior to joining Healthy You, she was a certified clinical transplant coordinator.

Her greatest rewards have been partnering with teams of professionals that together can impact the health of children.

She has a master's of science degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, where her studies concentrated on clinical nurse specialization in maternal-child health, pediatric nurse practitioner training, and developmental disabilities program specialization.

In addition to providing coverage as a renal transplant coordinator, Anderson served as the administrator for the transplant program and provided regulatory oversight of accreditation for donation and transplantation at CHKD.

Outside the hospital, she enjoy music, hiking, gardening, cooking, and being outdoors with her dog and family.
