I feel fortunate to have a career dedicated to children's health and wellness, and I am very excited to serve my community with Suffolk Pediatrics.

Bio

Hernandez started her nursing career in 1998 as a registered nurse at CHKD caring for cardiac and asthma patients.

She decided to further her career by obtaining a master's degree in pediatric nurse practitioner from Old Dominion University while continuing her work at CHKD.

Since graduation, she has worked in primary care pediatrics in the Hampton Roads area and in a public health setting in Las Vegas, Nevada, before returning to CHKD in 2016.
