Working at CHKD allows me to contribute to a community that I am proud to call home through patient care and medical student/resident education.

Bio

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Coker went to the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree and completed medical school at Medical College of Georgia. She completed her pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in Florida, and her pediatric critical care fellowship at University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Before joining the team at CHKD, Dr. Coker worked at ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina. Drawn to pediatrics for the range of ages and pathologies it encompasses, Dr. Coker says she is fulfilled by helping children and their families through challenging situations.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Coker enjoys spending time at local cafes, parks, and festivals and working on projects in her historic Norfolk home.
