Personal Statement
The CHKD family has been the driving force in our family staying in the Hampton Roads area. The medical care and outreach into the community is outstanding. I am proud to be staying within this organization and continuing my work for this wonderful community.
Bio
Dr. Smith is from Annapolis, Maryland, and earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
She completed her master's degree in health science reproductive and cancer biology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, and then earned her medical degree at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Smith did her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she served as chief resident.
She practices at PDC Pediatrics and also works in the Emergency Department at CHKD.
She and her husband appreciate the family-focused atmosphere of Hampton Roads and the coastal lifestyle. They enjoy fishing, sailing, and swimming.
