Practicing sports medicine at CHKD allows me to focus on doing what I love: caring for children and adolescents, and helping them to safely get back to doing what they love.

Bio

Dr. Smith graduated from the College of William and Mary, the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins, and his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Wisconsin.

He is board certified in pediatrics and sports medicine by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The pediatric sports medicine team at CHKD specializes in athletic, exercise, musculoskeletal and sports related injuries or pain. Our focus is on preventing injury, improving performance and enhancing overall health in patients beginning at 6 years of age, but patients under the age of 6 can also be treated with physician approval.
