Bio

Dr. Gagliardi was born in Norfolk but grew up in central Florida. She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she majored in biology to pursue her dream of becoming an ecologist. During her freshman year, she realized medicine was her true calling after hearing stories of doctors involved in global health and how they made a significant difference for low resource communities in need. A few years after switching her track, she found herself a medical student at The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida, and discovered her passion for working with children and forming relationships with families.

Her initial interest in CHKD was partly due to personal affiliations to the area, but after her interview, she realized CHKD had an excellent residency program and ranked it first. She completed her three years of residency at CHKD and says her training was second to none.

In her free time, Dr. Gagliardi enjoys wildlife and landscape photography, staying active, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter. She is excited to start forming relationships with families and watching the patients of Tidewater Children’s Associates grow from newborns to adults.
