Bio

Katherine Ross is a pediatric nurse practitioner whose clinical interests include newborn and preemie care as well as breastfeeding.

Born in Suffolk and raised in Windsor, Va., Katherine was inspired to become a nurse in high school after her nephew was born and needed care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at CHKD. Katherine graduated from Old Dominion University with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Soon after, she landed her dream job as a NICU nurse at CHKD.

She returned to ODU a few years later to earn her master’s in nursing and become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

In her free time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, horseback riding, and keeping up with the little farm life she and her family have created. Together, they care for several horses, ducks, chickens, rabbits, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, fish, and a hamster.
