Personal Statement

I am so excited to be back in southeastern Virginia to promote the health of children with my wonderful colleagues at CHKD's Pediatric Associates of Williamsburg office!

Bio

Originally from Virginia Beach, Amelia Fitts decided to pursue a career in health care because it allows her to combine her love for science and teaching. After earning her bachelor’s at Virginia Commonwealth University, Amelia obtained her master’s from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She then earned her nursing degrees and family nurse practitioner certification at Shenandoah University.

As a family nurse practitioner, Amelia enjoys sharing her passion for science and teaching with her patients and their families. She chose to work at CHKD for its commitment to providing quality health care to patients and a safe and supportive work environment for staff.

In her spare time, Amelia likes to spend time outside and on the water. A resident of Williamsburg, she lives with two rescue hound dogs, Murphy and Clyde. Amelia also enjoys gardening, refurbishing old wood furniture, and coaching or playing lacrosse.
