Sherie Austin, MD

Bio

A native of Alabama, Dr. Austin moved to Charlottesville for her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia. She then stayed in Virginia practicing pediatrics, first in Fredericksburg and now in Gloucester.

She lives in Gloucester where she helps her husband, Jay, raise his two teenaged daughters in addition to their infant daughter.

Dr. Austin enjoys working at Courthouse Pediatrics because it allows her to practice in a rural community while still having access to the tertiary care center and subspecialists at CHKD and at CHKD's health centers on the Peninsula.

Dr. Austin loves doing volunteer work. She has volunteered at a small hospital in Rwanda and regularly volunteers with Bread for Life, a local community food pantry. She is an avid bicycler, soccer player, and baker. She also enjoys making stained glass, traveling the world, and raising chickens.
